Our Golden Retriever puppies are born and raised in our home. We work from the minute they are born to ensure that they become the best companion they can possibly be. From day 3 to 16, we do early neurological stimulation, a process devised by the military to help familiarize pups with handling and coping with stress. After day 16, we consistently handle and play with them several times a day. By 3 weeks, we begin potty training. They learn from the beginning that there is an area to eat, sleep and play and an area to potty. We utilize alfalfa pellets from the beginning which reduces the puppy's stress and confusion after transitioning home with their new families.

We do our best to introduce pups to a variety of sights and sounds they may or may not encounter in their lives. We begin to introduce them to a crate around 5 weeks. Dozens from our lines are successful working service dogs for disabled children and adults (tasks including seizure alert, gross motor assistance, deep tissue therapy, emotional support for social isolation, depression, PTSD, and OCD, retrieving medical bags and alerting their handlers when it's time for medication). We test all of our moms and dads through Pawprint Genetics for degenerative myelopathy, ichthyosis, progressive retinal atrophy 1 and 2, and progressive rod cone degeneration (all of which are common in goldens).
